Strategic Educational Alliances: A Review of Sino-Nigerian Collaborations

Abstract


The paper reviews the landscape of Sino-Nigerian educational collaborations with a focus on strategic alliances. The study aims to discern the purpose, challenges and outcomes of these partnerships by analyzing relevant literature. The research problem centers on identifying key trends, impact assessments and policy implications in the realm of Sino-Nigerian educational cooperation. Utilizing a systematic approach, the review encompasses peer-reviewed articles from 1998 to the present, sourced from databases such as Researchgate, Sage journals, web of science and CNKI. The research design involves and inclusive criteria framework focusing on publications in English and Chinese that specifically address educational collaborations between China and Nigeria. A total of 30 articles including research papers and reviews were reviewed for key insights. Major findings reveal common themes, challenges and successful strategies employed in Sino-Nigerian educational partnerships. The study yielded policy recommendations for enhancing collaboration and the study contributes to a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics shaping educational alliances between these two nations. This review serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, educators and researchers interested in fostering effective international partnerships in the field of education.
