Visualization Analysis of Research Hotspots and Development Trends in “Chinese + vocational skills” Education (2018-2023)

Abstract


Using the visualization measurement software CiteSpace to analyze the research outcomes related to “Chinese + vocational skills” education in the CNKI database, it was found that the annual publication volume in Chinese vocational skills education has been increasing since 2019 and is expected to continue growing. This has led to the emergence of representative author groups and research institutions, with a focus on higher vocational colleges and international Chinese education institutes at universities. Some professional journals in vocational education are prolific sources of relevant literature. Key terms such as “Confucius Institute”, “vocational education”, and “higher vocational colleges” appear frequently, indicating the core themes in this research direction. The top 5 keywords with the highest prominence are “Confucius Institute”, “Chinese international education”, “Chinese +”, “Chinese education”, and “internationalization”, representing the research hotspots in this field. The research in this direction demonstrates a diversity of perspectives and angles.
